High Level Postgraduate Program

Chinese Government Scholarship-High Level Postgraduate Program is a full scholarship established by Ministry of Education to support Chinese universities to attract outstanding international students for graduate studies in China. Wuhan University of Technology is one of the prestigious universities designated to undertake this program to recruit graduate students for Master and Doctoral Programs.

Supporting Categories, Duration and Instruction Language

1. This scholarship only supports master’s students for no more than three years or doctoral students for no more than four years.

2. Duration of the scholarship, which covers both major study and Chinese language/preparatory study, as specified in the Admission Letter, cannot be extended in general.

Eligibility of applicants

1. Foreign citizenship, and in good health.

2. Applicants who apply for a Master degree should be under 35 years old and have a Bachelor degree.

3. Applicants who apply for a doctoral degree should be under 40 years old and have a Master degree.

4. Applicants for Chinese-medium programs, HSK certificate level four or above is required for the applicants who would like to study in the programs of science and engineering;  HSK level five is required for the applicants who would like to study in the programs of liberal arts and medical programs. Applicants who have not reached the required level of Chinese are requested to take Chinese language training courses for one year before moving on to their degree study.

Applicants whose native language is Chinese or can provide proof of studying at the previous institution where the teaching language is Chinese, can apply for HSK test waiver for further approval of Wuhan University of Technology.

Applicants for English-medium programs should provide score report of English Language test. TOEFL requires 80, IELTS requires 6. For those who could not offer the above-mentioned standard English test results, additional oral or written English test organized by Wuhan University of Technology will be required to participate in.

Native English-speaking applicants could be exempted from providing the above English proficiency certificate.

5. This program generally does not support registered students who are studying in China. Applicants who have already completed degree study in China should graduate for more than one year.

6. Applicants applying for studying their native language or the third country's native languages such as English or French are not eligible for this scholarship program.

7.   Applicants did not receive any other types of scholarship.

Note：Under the same conditions, the priority is given to those with academic achievements which are ranked by reference papers.

3 .Living allowance: (PHD 3500RMB/per month, Master 3000RMB/per month);

4. Comprehensive medical insurance;

5. International travel expenses: self-afforded.

Procedure of application

1. Register and submit your online application at the CSC Online Application System for International Students athttp://www.campuschina.org/ . The code of Wuhan University of Technology is 10497. Please Choose Program category type B which refers to scholarship programs responsible by Chinese universities under Chinese Government Scholarship-Chinese University Program.  Please download and print a hard copy of the “Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship” after you complete the form.

2. Register and submit your application online at Wuhan University of Technology Online Application System for International Students at http://admission.whut.edu.cn, submit online the completed “Application Form for International Scholars and Students of Wuhan University of Technology” and required application documents listed below:

1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (written in Chinese or English).

2. Application Form for International Scholars and Students of Wuhan University of Technology (written in Chinese or English).

3. Notarized highest diploma(degree certificate) and transcripts（the original and copy of each one: issued directly by the school/university, with an official stamp）. Prospective diploma recipients should submit official document issued by your current school to prove not only your current student status, but also the expected degree certificate and graduation date. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English should attach notarized Chinese or English translations. (Bachelor Degree is required for Master programs and Master Degree is required for doctoral programs).

4. Study Plan, within 800 words, written in Chinese or in English.

5. Two recommendation letters from either professors or associate professors, in Chinese or English.

6. Scanned copy of valid ordinary passport with a minimum of one year before its expiration (personal information page).

7. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form, filled in English or Chinese, can be downloaded from http://www.campuschina.org.The Physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid.

Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only six months. Please keep the original copy of the form for the school registration.  

8. Valid HSK certificate (if available), as for non-native English applicants, valid English level certificate is required if applying for English-medium program (e. g TOEFL or IELTS).

9. Acceptance letter （/english/ist/dowl/）from the professor of Wuhan University of Technology (if available).

10.None Criminal Punishment Certificate.

Please note:

1. Applicants are not required to send us hard copies of application document.Thehighest diploma (degree certificate) and transcriptsshould be notarized. 

2. Incomplete application document or wrong university code information will not be accepted. Please ensure that an accurate phone number, email address and mailing address (including postcode, city name) are provided.

3.In addition to the above application document, the university has the right to require the applicant to provide other materials if it is necessary.

Application Time:

From the beginning of Jan. to February 15, 2023

The qualified applicants will be informed of the evaluation result around the middle of May, 2023, and the final result of scholarship winners will be informed at the end of June. The official admission document will be delivered from the beginning of July, 2023.

Others:

1. The Scholarship will not be reserved if the recipient cannot register in Wuhan University of Technology before the registration deadline (The registration time will be notified on your admission notice).

2. The Scholarship recipients shall not change their host university, field of study, or duration of study unless they give up the scholarship.

3. The Scholarship qualification will be evaluated annually.

武汉理工大学中国政府奖学金“高水平研究生”项目

招生简章（2023年）

武汉理工大学是教育部直属全国重点大学，是首批列入国家“211工程”和“双一流”建设高校，是教育部和交通运输部等部委共建高校。学校办学历史起源于1898年建立的湖北工艺学堂，办学124年特别是近70年来，学校共培养了60余万名高级专门人才，是教育部直属高校中为建材建工、交通、汽车三大行业培养人才规模最大的学校，已成为我国“三大行业”高层次人才培养和科技创新的重要基地。学校已形成以工学为主，理、工、经、管、艺术、文、法等多学科相互渗透、协调发展的学科专业体系。目前学校在校普通本科生36000余人，博士、硕士生20000余人，留学生900余人。

中国政府奖学金“高水平研究生”项目是中国教育部资助的全额奖学金项目，用于部分中国高校自主招收优秀国际研究生来华学习。受教育部的委托，武汉理工大学承担执行该项目，负责招收优秀国际学生来武汉理工大学攻读硕士和博士学位。根据教育部相关文件精神，我校制订了中国政府奖学金“高水平研究生”项目招生申请办法，具体内容如下：

一、招生类别 

本项目只招收全日制硕士研究生和博士研究生。硕士研究生奖学金期限为3年；博士研究生奖学金期限为4年；奖学金资助期限为录取时确定的学习年限，包括汉语补习和专业学习的期限，原则上不予延长。

三、申请人资格

1.非中国籍公民，身体健康；

2.来华攻读硕士学位者，须具有学士学位，年龄不超过35周岁；

3.来华攻读博士学位者，须具有硕士学位，年龄不超过40周岁；

4.汉语授课项目申请者，理工科学生汉语水平达到HSK四级（含）以上，文科和医科学生汉语水平达到HSK五级（含）以上，可以直接进入专业学习。汉语水平未达到要求者可以申请，但是需要汉语补习一年，方可进入专业院系学习；

如母语为汉语或上一阶段使用汉语教学的申请者，经我校认定，可以免除提供HSK成绩。

英语授课项目申请者，需提供英语水平证明，TOEFL需达到80分, IELTS需达到6。不能提供标准化英语测试证明的，需进行英语笔试或面试。

母语为英语的申请者可以免除提供上述英语水平证书。

1. 不招收学习本国语言或英语、法语等第三国语言文学类专业的学生。 
      6.非其它奖学金获得者。

注：同等条件下，有学术成果者优先考虑，学术成果参考论文期刊等级排序。

四、奖学金内容

1.免除学费；

2.免除住宿费；

3.中国境内生活费（博士￥3500元/月/人，硕士￥3000元/月/人）；

4.综合医疗保险;

5.国际旅费：自理。

五、申请流程 

1.登录“国家留学基金委来华留学网上报名系统” （登录http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua或 http://www.campuschina.org 后，点击“网上报名学生入口”图标进入）填写申请信息，武汉理工大学招生机构代码为：10497，中国政府奖学金高校研究生项目类别为B。按照“申请材料”清单的要求准备提交相应材料。完成网上报名后，打印系统自动生成的《中国政府奖学金申请表》。

2.登录“武汉理工大学365体育中国官方网站国际学生网上报名系统”（登录http://admission.whut.edu.cn），点击网上报名入口，填写《武汉理工大学外国学者留学生申请表》，完成在线申请并上传申请材料的扫描版。

六、申请材料

1.《中国政府奖学金申请表》，用中文或英文填写；

2.《武汉理工大学外国学者留学生申请表》，用中文或英文填写；

3.经公证的最高学历学位证明和成绩单。如申请人为在校学生，需提交本人就读学校出具的预毕业学士学位或硕士学位证明及成绩单,预毕业证明中须说明预期获得的学位和毕业时间。中英文以外文本还需附经公证过的中文或英文的译文（原件及复印件各一份）；

4.来华学习和研究计划（1000字），用中文或英文书写；

5.两名教授或副教授的推荐信，用中文或英文书写；

6.《外国人体格检查表》的复印件，原件请于来校报到时随身携带。此表格由中国卫生检疫部门统一印制，可从以下网站下载http://www.campuschina.org。须用英文或中文填写。申请人应严格按照《外国人体格检查表》中要求的项目进行检查。缺项、未贴有本人照片或照片上未盖骑缝章、无医师和医院签字盖章的《外国人体格检查表》无效。鉴于检查结果有效期为6个月，请申请人据此确定本人进行体检的时间；

7.有效普通护照复印件（个人信息页,有效期至少到2023年9月）；

8.如已获得HSK成绩报告，亦请附在申请材料中。申请英语授课专业学习，母语非英语的申请者，须提交英文水平证明(如TOEFL或者IELTS证明);

9.如已联系过武汉理工大学教授，并获得同意接收函，请附在申请材料中。

10.无犯罪记录证明。

注：

1.申请初期，申请人不需寄送纸质申请材料。其中最高学历学位证明和成绩单必须提供公证件信息。

2.  申请材料不全及学校招生机构代码信息错误，将不予受理;请务必提供准确的电话号码、EMAIL地址和邮寄地址(含邮政编码、城市名信息)。

3.  除上述材料外，学校有权要求申请者提供其他必要申请材料。

七、截止时间

2023年2月15日

我校中国政府奖学金自主招生初审结果一般将在3月中旬通知学生本人，6月底通知最后录取结果，7月初将陆续寄出正式录取材料。

八、其它

1. 不能按录取期限来华学习者，奖学金资格不予保留;

2.奖学金获得者来华后不得变更《录取通知书》上的录取院校、学习专业及学习期限；

3.奖学金获得者须按规定参加每年一度的奖学金年度评审。
